Green Lane Eco Park leaflet distribution July 2010.
We have recently distributed 14,000 leaflets to properties in the vicinity of the Green Lane Eco Park site (as indicated on the map below) which give details of our proposals and how to respond to the planning applications. If you have not received a leaflet, please contact us with your address and we will send one in the post to you as soon as possible. Either make your request via the message box by calling 0800 107 1020 or email us at info@greenlaneecopark.com.
Sky Properties has now submitted the Green Lane Eco Park planning applications (one in full for the Energos gasification facility and one in outline for the Anaerobic Digestion plant and Materials Recovery Facility) to Salford City Council and the Council will now hold a formal consultation on the proposals.
Sky Properties is committed to informing, consulting and involving local stakeholders in the redevelopment of the Green Lane site. We are therefore distributing a leaflet to c. 14,000 properties in the local area to update local residents on the proposals and to provide information on how to submit comments about the proposal to the Council as part of the formal consultation.
To view the planning applications, please go to the ‘Planning Applications’ page. This page includes the Non-Technical Summary which presents, in non-technical language, the findings of an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) that has been undertaken in connection with the proposed Green Lane Eco Park development plus both planning applications and all supporting documentation in full.
We would urge you to read this information very carefully. If you would like to submit your comments about the proposal to Salford City Council as part of the formal consultation.

Informing, consulting and involving local people in the development of the proposals. We would like to hear what you think about the proposals therefore we are carrying out a thorough public consultation.
Sky Properties has already delivered a full information programme to get the message across about its plans, and to get the views of as many local people as possible. This has been welcomed by Salford Council and the level and quality of the information provided is at the standard of best practice in public consultation exercises of this kind.
The programme so far has included:
- A leaflet delivered to 970 addresses in the local area.
- A three day exhibition at the Monton House Hotel, the best-known venue in Monton, staffed by experts available to answer all questions from residents.
- 117 people attended and 47 people filled in response cards.
- A booklet about the proposal for people to take away.
- A dedicated website with email address for enquiries.
- A dedicated telephone line for enquiries to be left.
- Two interviews on BBC Radio Manchester calling for people to attend.
- A press release to all media in Salford and Greater Manchester.
- An article in the Salford Advertiser.
- An advertisement in the Salford Advertiser.
- A community meeting attended by over 130 local residents who were able to express their views and ask questions regarding the Green Lane Eco Park. Please click here to view a PDF version of the Q&A from the meeting.
Sky Properties is committed to best practice in consulting local people about its proposals. We sincerely wish to engage with the local community in regards to this proposal.
The next step is to set up a Community Liaison Group which directly engages with a small number of local people, representing community interests, as discussed at the community meeting on 25 January 2010. We hope that by offering these meetings we can take on board concerns of local residents and have the opportunity to provide any further information that may be requested, establishing a dialogue with local residents. We hope to address issues raised by residents through this process, and deliver an improved planning application.
